Center for Applied Psychology (CAP)

The Center for Applied Psychology (CAP) was established in 2017 under Surat Keputusan Nomor 865/UN14/KP/2017 as one of the business units within the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (Fakultas Kedokteran Unud). The unit is managed by lecturers of the Undergraduate Psychology Program (PSP), consisting of both professional psychologists and academic experts in psychology.

CAP functions as a psychological service unit for the general public, operating in accordance with the regulations governing business units under the Faculty of Medicine and Udayana University. Through CAP, lecturers are provided with an opportunity to apply their psychological knowledge and professional expertise in community settings, while also enhancing their practical experience and professional development.

In addition to providing psychological services, CAP plays an important role in supporting the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education—education, research, and community service. The management of educational facilities and Tri Dharma activities is coordinated directly by the Head of the Study Program (KPS), involving academic and administrative staff from the Psychology Study Program, as well as the infrastructure and facilities team at the Faculty level.

The operational activities of CAP are conducted in coordination with the Faculty Leadership, particularly the Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance and the Head of Administration (Tata Usaha) of the Faculty of Medicine, to ensure proper governance, administration, and quality service management in accordance with university standards.

Overall, CAP serves as a strategic bridge between academia and the community, facilitating the integration of education, research, community engagement, and professional psychological practice within the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.
